Junior Economic Club

Building a Generation of Effective Leaders

The Junior Economic Club brings together the best and brightest high school students in San Francisco to an unparalleled ecosystem of discussion, exposure, and leadership. We invest in San Francisco’s future by allowing students to understand and solve real-world economic problems in both the public and private sectors.

By giving these students a head start, we are nurturing more effective, experienced, and responsible leaders, thereby guaranteeing San Francisco’s prosperous future for generations to come.

Our Story

The JEC (Junior Economic Club) of San Francisco was started in 2020 by it’s co-founders Yena Im and Matthew Chen, who felt the strong need for the Junior Economic Club to be started in San Francisco. Originally founded in Chicago in 2014, it has made it’s way to the city of San Francisco. Since its inception, the Junior Economic Club has expanded nation-wide, and has hosted multiple successful economic forums, giving incredible opportunities to hundreds of students across the world.

The JEC hopes to make an investment in the city’s future. Members, mentors, and sponsors will cultivate a generation of effective business leaders through economic and financial literacy.
