OUR MISSION AND STRUCTURE

“An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.”

— Ben Franklin

OUR MISSION

To expose determined, aspiring high school students to the real business world through networking events, workshops, and community outreach initiatives that connect them with the people they need to make a difference.

The Junior Economic Club is an entirely student-led 501(c)(3) non-profit that firmly believes that given the right guidance and support, high school students are capable of addressing the issues facing our society.

The current education system does not adequately prepare students for the growing complexity of the economy or the changing business world. By starting preparation early, the Junior Economic Club is guaranteeing San Francisco's continued prosperity for generations to come.

OUR STRUCTURE

The Junior Economic Club has a tri-faceted approach to achieving its mission and enriching the future's of its club members.

Economic Forums

Our quarterly events bring together JEC members with leading figures of San Francisco's business world. Each gala event features distinct keynote speakers in fields of entrepreneurship, business, and finance. Each event contains a networking session in which members have the chance to meet and connect with students from all around the city.

Member Engagement Programs

The JEC gives members exclusive access to summer programs, internships, workshops, and more. Additionally, the JEC has hosted virtual webinars to educate their members. The JEC is always forging new partnerships to give its members new and exciting opportunities.

Community Initiatives

We believe that an essential component of leadership is community outreach. Through our High Returns initiative, JEC members volunteer at underserved grade schools to give kids personal finance skills fundamental for later success.
